Prospects for the development of diamond-mining industry directly depend on the preparation of mineral raw material base for commercial operation. Reproduction of mineral raw material base taking into account the ecological and economic efficiency is an important aspect for the future development of diamond mining companies. The process of geological exploration of new territories is risky and requires massive investments. The problem of lack of funding of geological exploration works and the impact of works of development of deposit area on the environment is very important. To improve the efficiency of reproduction of mineral raw material base of diamonds it is necessary to develop organizational and economic mechanisms of stimulation of companies that conduct prospecting and exploration works allowing to optimize the system of financing and increase the amount of geological exploration works while preserving the environment. In modern conditions of development of economy an important task of corporate governance of the company is the observance of interests of all sides interested in the successful activity of company through the provision of ecological safety, social responsibility and economic efficiency. Only under the observance of balance of interests of all sides one can talk about the efficiency of development of company. In this article a mechanism is proposed for improving environmental and economic efficiency of reproduction of the mineral raw material base through the creation of geological exploration companies on the basis of public-private partnership. To evaluate the efficiency the indicators and the evaluation algorithm of investment project are proposed.
