Abstract

The problem of providing methan-safety for underground coal mining today is key to ensure the effective operation of the mines. This paper summarizes the principles of ensuring safety of mining systems and methods of their implementation. It is shown that the system solving the problem of providing coal face methane safety should be based primarily on the use of technological methods. The technology should include as a compulsory element of the gas emission control. Because the ventilation and degassing constitute a conjugate system of emission control, they shall be designed and controlled as a common ventilation-degassing systems. The decision of aerogasdynamic problems, taking into account the mutual influence of the main determining factors is possible on the basis of volume modeling by numerical methods with the use of high-performance workstations (clusters). Direct modeling of complex Aero / gas dynamic and thermodynamic processes in mine ventilation and degasification systems (including goaf) on a common information and methodological base will allow to ensure high accuracy of design decisions, modes and settings of ventilation and degassing units. It is possible to provide the planning of changes in the parameters of ventilation and degassing with the development of mining operations. To control the aerogasdynamic processes in mines you need to change the approach to monitoring of mine atmosphere parameters, including the number of required objects control the degassing system, and to develop and implement at the level of the applicable standards of intellectual systems of collection and analysis of information in the monitoring system that eliminates human intervention and ensuring the reliability of the indicators taken for analysis for decision-making.
