This book is dedicated to calculation methods for processes of separation by filtration. The basic methods for intensification of filtration processes and their industrial realization are considered. This book includes brief design and operating characteristics of known types of filtering equipment and materials. Special attention is given to description of modern analogs of vertical press-filters with horizontal cameras such as FPAKM (ФПАКМ) produced by Finnish company «Larox Oy». World experience of usage of press- filters by Larox in different industries is shown.
This book is intended for technical engineers and researchers occupied in mathematical exposition and simulation of separation processes of suspensions and participating in research and maintenance of filtering equipment. It can be useful for lecturers, post-graduate students and students of chemical and technological high schools.
